Packers Open To Signing Vick


With Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Green Bay Packers haven’t ruled out signing free agent quarterback Michael Vick. Vick, who is fresh off a 23 month prison sentence, has a list of teams that have expressed interest in the 29 year old run and gun quarterback. Not playing since 2006, Vick looks to be hungry to get back on the field as he threw balls to high schoolers in Virginia Beach yesterday. Continue reading

Taylor Mays:Far and Beyond The Top Player in College Football


Running a 4.3 40 yard dash at 6’3″ 235 lbs is amazing, knocking out the incoming receiver and your own cornerback is amazing, for Pete Carroll his strong safety Taylor Mays is amazing. Forgoing the NFL Draft, Mays decided to come back to Los Angeles and try to win a national championship, something that USC is always expected to do each season. Continue reading

For the past ten years, quarterbacks taken first overall have struggled mightily in their first season. Tim Couch, Eli Manning, David Carr, Jamarcus RussellĀ and Alex Smith just to name a few. For Detroit Lions and former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford, that is not the case. Stafford scored amazingly well on the Wonderlick test at 32, started all three years at Georgia, and showed he could make every throw that it would take to become an NFL quarterback. Wells Out Again, Same Ankle, Same Problem


After three college seasons where Ohio State running back Chris “Beanie” Wells ran for over 4000+ yards, 20+ TD’s and took the Buckeye offense to new heights, the Akron Garfield alum injured his ankle in his first practice with the Arizona Cardinals. Fresh off signing a five year contract, Wells hurt the ankle early on in the day andĀ  is a blow to the Cardinals, who were Super Bowl losers a year ago and are suffering the loss of Edgerrin James, a change of pace back who supplied a blow to Tim Hightower, who will be the starter after only averaging two yards a carry in 2008. With an explosive offense, Wells would keep opposing defenses honest by obeying the run which would open up holes for WR’s Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston. Continue reading
